We need YOU . . . NOW
Although we seem to be always waiting on some marker to make itself known that is the sure evidence that the future has arrived, we all passively sit back and observe the decay around us without taking the power back. For example, we won’t acknowledge that the U.S. is collapsing until we’re in a full-blown civil war, or we won’t recognize how technology already highly manipulates us because we haven’t had digital ID chips injected in our forearms. The truth is, the future is now. All the horrible effects of unspeakable ills are already here, just not how we anticipated they would be. Truth is stranger than fiction because no one saw is coming in exactly this way, and we should feel a sense of urgency to act now.
Now is the time to push back on all the dark forces in the world, and now is the time to live contrary to the operating systems that control us. As for the latter, you may say that our only power is to act contrary to society’s systems if we can affect any change whatsoever. The action doesn’t have to be revolutionary on a large scale, though it may been seen as revolutionary to anyone who is a victim of the pervading darkness. An example may be that if you’re tired of the effects of social media, get off social media and give people your undivided attention in social events. You will have created a situation where human beings were allowed to be truly social creatures in the way we were really intended to be. You will have strengthened human dignity by placing people ahead of technology.
I could go on all day about how a person can help work against the forces of darkness that are already upon us in way more major than we recognize, but let’s get to the point: the way to change society is to start with individual responsibility. Identify the problem, act on it by changing your behavior, and become a better person that influences other people, who influence yet others. The result will be a society that regenerates from the ground up. And while we can’t see the ways the future is here — except by maybe observing the cumulative toll of all the problems that people in our country experience: divorce, substance abuse, cancer, homelessness, etc. — we can, by applying real human wisdom and love in the present moment, step into the problems that the past created and imagine a better future.
